You're not alone. Many athletes struggle with neck pain that limits performance and threatens their active lifestyle.

1. Stuck in Pain with No Clear Solution

You've tried rest, stretching, and over-the-counter remedies, but the neck pain keeps coming back every time you train or compete.

2. Fear of Making It Worse

The uncertainty of what movements are safe keeps you from pushing yourself, and you're worried that one wrong move could sideline you for good.

3. Cookie-Cutter Treatment Falls Short

Generic physical therapy doesn't address your sport-specific demands, leaving you frustrated with limited progress and no return-to-sport plan.

I came to Bryant with patella tendinitis, and thanks to his expertise, my knee is now completely healed. He is knowledgeable, attentive, and takes the time to tailor each session to my needs. Bryant also provides daily exercises to continue strengthening at home, which has been invaluable to my recovery.

I connected with Dr. Bryant at Crossover PT & Performance a couple of months before a marathon I was training for. He performed a thorough assessment, evaluating internal and external rotation and range of motion in both hips to identify weaknesses and compensations. The results have been excellent—my hip mobility and strength have improved significantly.

I work an office job and I am sitting most of the day, I'm not a professional athlete, but I do lift regularly and noticed issues in my hip forming. First session at Crossover, he was able to diagnose what was going on and give me a strategy on what we could do to fix it. It has been amazing. My warm-ups are better, I feel like I'm moving better, and I love that it's science based.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers about our physical therapy services

1. Do you accept insurance?

We operate as an out-of-network provider, which allows us to offer truly personalized care without insurance limitations. This means 60-minute, 1-on-1 sessions every time—no rushing, no assistants. We can provide a Good Faith Estimate and superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Contact us to discuss your specific situation and payment options.

2. How long are physical therapy sessions?

Every session is a full 60 minutes, 1-on-1 with Dr. Bryant Villota, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and athletic trainer. You'll never be handed off to an assistant or share time with other patients. After each session, you'll receive an email recap and updated exercises delivered through our mobile app.

3. What should I bring to my first appointment?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows you to move freely. Bring any relevant medical records, imaging reports (MRI, X-ray), or physician referrals if you have them. If you've been working with another provider, we'd love to see documentation of your previous treatment to build on your progress.

4. Do you offer virtual physical therapy?

Yes! Crossover Virtual offers personalized Zoom physical therapy sessions, online coaching, and exercise routines delivered through our mobile app. Not near Tampa? No problem—we can still help you recover and perform at your best, wherever you are.

5. What makes Crossover different from traditional physical therapy?

We bridge the gap between physical therapy and sports performance. Our out-of-network model means no insurance limitations—just personalized care focused on your goals. You get 60-minute 1-on-1 sessions, 24/7 direct communication with your clinician, sport-specific programming, and return-to-performance training that goes beyond just eliminating pain. We understand what your sport demands because we've worked with athletes at every level for over a decade.

6. How many sessions will I need?

Every athlete and injury is different. After your comprehensive evaluation, we'll discuss your specific goals and create a personalized treatment plan. Some athletes see significant improvement in just a few sessions, while others with chronic or complex issues may benefit from longer-term care. We'll work together to build a plan that gets you back to your sport as efficiently and safely as possible.
