You're Frustrated, In Pain, and Wondering If You'll Ever Play at Your Best Again

Injuries don't just hurt physically—they make you question your identity as an athlete. Traditional physical therapy clinics treat you like a number, giving you cookie-cutter exercises while juggling three other patients at once. You're stuck wondering: Will I ever get back on the court? Can I trust my body again?

You're Avoiding Your Sport

You skip pickup games or cut workouts short because you don't know if your knee, ankle, or shoulder will hold up. The fear of re-injury keeps you on the sidelines.

Generic PT Isn't Cutting It

You've done the same band exercises and ice treatments at big PT mills, but nothing's addressing what you actually need—to jump, sprint, cut, and perform like an athlete.

You Don't Have a Clear Plan

Your doctor said "take it easy" or "avoid impact," but you need to get back to playing your sport. You're confused about what you should—or shouldn't—be doing to heal.

"Dr. Bryant provides top-notch guidance and expertise. He bridges a critical gap between routine physical therapy experience and sports performance, creating a dynamic environment for growth and improvement in everything from sport-specific training to day-to-day function. He provided stellar insight into my own movement patterns and deficits, and helped me regain function that I lost from surgery with awesome results. I hadn't hoped to achieve as much as I did with him and he has my highest recommendation. Your health is worth every penny, and this is an investment that will help maintain and enhance your abilities for years to come."

"I highly recommend Crossover for all of your Physical Therapy needs! I am a professional circus artist and in my line of work I injured my shoulder doing a high level stunt. Because of this I thought I was going to have to give up my dreams as an aerialist and juggler. Bryant made me a plan to follow at home as well as in sessions with him. We are not even half way through and I am seeing amazing improvements. My mobility in my shoulder is coming back, I'm training for multiple hours, doing gigs, and living my daily life with little to no pain."

"I came to Crossover Physical Therapy due to developing runner's knee which was caused by an increase in my weekly miles run. A program was developed and agreed upon and we started working on these issues the same week. Thanks to the work put in at Crossover I managed to run over 17 miles at my race which was longer than any runs I had done in one day. I've also been able to see noticeable improvements in my running including overall mileage and speed."

At Crossover Physical Therapy & Performance we understand what it means to be an athlete and the happiness the sport or activity can give a person. We have also been injured before and have gone to the traditional “cookie cutter” physical therapy clinic. After the first 30 minutes you can already tell that this isn’t the place for you if I wanted to get better and return to playing your sport. Unfortunately, those clinics are unable to give you the time and quality of care that you deserve to get you back to what you love to do.  We will always provide 1:1 sessions so we are able to give you the best experience in your journey to returning to your sport.

We bridge the gap between physical therapy and sports performance through evaluating where you are in your injury process and building a plan together to get you to where you want to be. We want to help you crossover from your injury to your sport.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about physical therapy in Tampa, FL? We've got answers.

Do I need a referral or prescription to see a physical therapist in Tampa?

No! In the state of Florida, we have direct access for 30 days, meaning you can see a physical therapist and progress through your plan of care for 30 days without a referral from your doctor. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy are trained to assess your condition, diagnose movement impairments, and create a treatment plan—or refer you to a medical specialist if needed. This makes it easy for you to start feeling better sooner without waiting for lengthy referrals or appointments with multiple providers.

Do you take insurance, or how does payment work?

At Crossover, we are considered "out-of-network" providers, which allows us to treat you as an individual—not a diagnosis code. This means we can provide the high-quality, 1-on-1 care you deserve without insurance restrictions limiting your treatment. We accept FSA/HSA cards, and we provide superbills (medical receipts) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. Many out-of-network benefits reimburse part, if not all, of the services billed once your deductible has been met. We're happy to walk you through this process and provide a Good Faith Estimate of costs upfront.

How is Crossover different from other physical therapy clinics in Tampa?

At Crossover, you'll never be double-booked or handed off to an aide. Every session is 60 minutes, 1-on-1 with your Doctor of Physical Therapy. We specialize in sports-related injuries and active lifestyles, so we understand what it takes to get you back to jumping, sprinting, cutting, and performing at your best. We combine hands-on manual therapy, progressive strength training, and sport-specific exercises in a gym-based setting—no falling asleep with an e-stim machine here. Plus, you'll have 24/7 access to your PT via text or email, custom video exercises delivered through our mobile app, and a clear game plan from day one. We focus on long-term results, not short-term fixes.
